Kirkland Neighborhoods

If you sometimes feel that Kirkland is more like a resort town than a bedroom community, you're not alone. The many waterfront parks, nearby marina, art galleries, and area restaurants draw visitors and local residents alike to Kirkland and its waterfront time and time again.

Not only waterfront residents enjoy the commanding views across Lake Washington to Seattle and the Olympic Mountains. The City of Kirkland is one of the only communities to have preserved its waterfront for public use. A full 25% of the waterfront, encompassing eight miles and seven waterfront parks, is available for the public to enjoy.

Kirkland is an upscale residential community and features the highly acclaimed Lake Washington school system, the renowned medical facilities of Evergreen Hospital, and an eclectic variety of shops, galleries, and restaurants scattered throughout the downtown core. Given the strong demographic base, Kirkland is a popular place for businesses to settle.

Housing in Kirkland is a delightful blend of the old and the new, the traditional and the contemporary, houses and condominiums. Few communities offer such diverse housing opportunities, many with views of lakes and mountains and many within walking distance of Kirkland's thirty-plus public parks.
